Admission Steps

  1. Apply to ÑÇÖÞ²ÊƱ¹ÙÍø and become a Golden Eagle: Fill out the free online form to Apply to ÑÇÖÞ²ÊƱ¹ÙÍø, then watch your email for your acceptance letter and instructions to get set up as a new student. 

  2. Take a mechanical reasoning test: All applicants interested in the ASEP program need to complete the mechanical reasoning test in the ÑÇÖÞ²ÊƱ¹ÙÍø Testing Center. You will need your ÑÇÖÞ²ÊƱ¹ÙÍø student ID number and a valid photo ID with you in order to take the test. This is a timed 12-minute test. You must arrive one hour before closing, so be sure to check the current ÑÇÖÞ²ÊƱ¹ÙÍø Testing Center hours of operation. 
    Students who live more than 1 hour away from either the Twin Falls or Burley campuses must contact Robyn Swainston to determine alternate testing locations. 

  3. Prepare for additional required expenses:
    • Textbooks: $500
    • Tools: $1000--$4400 depending on quality and brand and preference
    • Course fees for whole program $190

     

    DO NOT purchase any of these items before you are officially accepted to the program!

  4. Fill out your application: Complete the online form to apply to ÑÇÖÞ²ÊƱ¹ÙÍø's Automotive Service Education program. Admission is on a first-come, first-served basis. Applications will be accepted until the program is full.

  5. Meet with program manager: Schedule an appointment with program manager Robyn Swainston to discuss next steps.
  6. Secure a job: After your application is reviewed, you will need to secure a job with a GM Dealership or an approved AC/Delco shop where you will work throughout the duration of the program. You must obtain a job before being fully accepted into the program. Details will be covered during the program orientation.
